Difficulty

I've been quiet on this project for a little bit now. I was trying to solve a hard problem with my physics implementation and it simply doesn't go anywhere as I want it to. I thought I had a pretty good implementation going but as soon as I tried to scale up my racetrack all of the stuff I had been doing up until now just...fell apart? I have never seen anything like that before in Unity but then again I'm also rarely making purely simulation games like this before so it was to be expected that I'd run into obstacles eventually that are quite hard to overcome.

What now?

I think going forward I'll shelf this and maybe return to it some day but for now I've made it as far as I can right now and I'm starting to feel like I'm not getting anywhere. Some times taking a step away from projects like this can give new perspectives and then I come back with fresh eyes instead of being stuck so close to the problem I can't see the broader picture.

Thanks for riding with me so far and hopefully you'lle come back for other posts I make in future. 2026 will be the year I start working again, about time, and I'm looking forward to all the things I can finally start doing again that I've been putting off due to not having the funds to pursue it.
